Good day to all! I would say "It's that time again!" but since I have been remiss in handing out the monthly awards, as promised, I'll save that line for later. *grin* But our new XO has whipped me into shape and has been helping me get things sorted and we have a laundry list of awards to give out, some dating back a while, but still worthy nontheless.
Now, as a preface, I have added a few more awards to the list. Since I've been working so much overtime I haven't been able to upload the images I'll be using for them to the site yet, but they will be forthcoming soon enough.
There are quite a few to get through, so there won't be an enormous write up here. And away we go!
The Out of Character Awards are:
Innovative Service Award - Tracy
Awarded to crew members who have contributed to Starbase 900 by providing innovative ideas or materials. Her introduction of Iggy, who went from a pet to a sentient new life form has never failed to enlighten and entertain us.
Post Of The Month - Commander Sakkath; Lt. Norval Tigan
Post Of The Month for July is Ruminations, a touching memorial to Dr. Connor McKinney.
Character Development Ribbon - Jackson Banning
It's been a rollercoaster ride for Jackson, and while much of his life of late has been less than ideal, he had rolled with the (many) punches and in so doing, revealed many more facets of a very complex personality.
Meritorious Service Medal - Commander Li Hawke and Lt. Patrick Smith
Awarded for thier undercover mission involving Suresh and and his crime syndicate
Medal Of The Rose - Commanders Hawke & Sakkath
This award is given for the most interesting protrayal of a couple over time. Li and Sakkath had an unexpected beginning that drew them together. While appearing to be the ideal couple, Li's past would eventually cause havoc between them. Now that the past has been laid to rest, they have begin the process of re-connecting and rebuilding trust, losing fear, and getting back to the joining that is uniquely theirs.
Drama Award - MCPO Nick Marcinko; Captain qeraQ', Lt. Commander Patrick Leroy
Awarded for the Divitian Senate Scene in which the comspiracy that would have doomed the planet was revealed.
Drama Award - Lt. Commander Oralia Zeferino, Commander Li Hawke, Lt. Patrick Smith
Awarded for the series of posts in which Oz was kidnapped on the orders of Suresh and later rescued.
Two Year Service Award: Vice Admiral Wegener, Commander LI Hawke, Lt. Commander Robin Swift, Lt. Commander Patrick Leroy, Lt. Commander Oralia Zeferino, Lt. Kh'ali, Jackson Banning, Commander Sakkath
One Year Service Award: Lt. Patrick Smith, Lt. Valkris Edwardson- tSepeS, Lt. Michael Darwin, Lt. Gilroy
First Mission Completion: Vice Admiral Wegener, Commander Li Hawke, Commander Sakkath, Lt. Commander Oralia Zeferino, Lt. Commander Patrick Leroy, Lt. Commander Robin Swift, Lt. Patrick Smith, Lt. Valkris Edwardson-tSepeS, Lt. Commander Kh'ali, Lt. Michael Darwin, Lt. Gilroy
The In-Character Awards are:
Starfleet Meritorious Unit Commendation - Commander Sakkath, Lt. Commander Patrick Leroy, MCPO Nick Marcinko; Captain qeraQ'
For service above and beyond the call of duty during the mission to Divitia Prime. They overcame strong opposition in helping to save a planet inspite of the planet itself.
Legion Of Merit - Lt. Gilroy
Earned for protecting VADM Lucius Hawke in the bombing on Archadia III
Bronze Star - Patrick Leroy
Distinguished Civilian Service Award - Iggy
Awarded for their roles in preventing the deaths of Commanders Hawke and Sakkath at the hands of a ghost from the past
And that does it! Congratulations to all writers, and to those characters, that were awarded. :) Having written with many of you for several years I'm very proud to have you all with us here on SB900 and look forward to seeing much more from you all in the future! Keep up the good work and keep a lookout for more awards next month.
