For this month, we had quite a few award nominations! Several of them were for mission completion as we are moving on from the "Breaking New Ground" mission to our next, but we also had several IC and OOC nominations.
As a reminder, the Mission Completion awards are assigned to the primary character of the writer. This award is not assigned to individual characters and the number of missions they have completed.
So, without further ado:
Post Of The Month - OOC -- for CMDR Leroy & LCDR Kh’ali (nominated by Awf): "Of Honor And Tradition" in "Breaking New Ground" was a really great example of a rare post that actually feels like it could of been part of a Next Generation-era episode, and is even broken down the way that such a storyline would have been filmed, hence the nomination here for the out of character post of the month award.
Character Development Ribbon - OOC -- for Nicolao (nominated by Sakkath): This mission has obviously been all about Nicolao as a character, but he's done a tremendous job of bringing the character to life both in his personal triumphs with Dru and in his darkest moments with the grey landscape and Azoulay. Bravo!
Character Development Ribbon - OOC -- for LCDR Robin Swift (nominated by Li Hawke): Robin has come a long way in his development and become an essential and entertaining part of the 900 crew. We've seen so many facets of him and while we've seen parts of his inner self, it's clear there is much more to learn about the Counselor.
Medal of the Rose - OOC -- for El'Shar Blackhorse (nominated by Li Hawke): She's taking on the admiral!
Medal of the Rose - OOC -- for ADM Wegener (nominated by Li Hawke): The Old Man is engaged!
Cliffhanger Award - OOC -- for CMDR Leroy (nominated by Li Hawke): For his Leroy in the far future series.
Dedicated Service - OOC -- for CAPT Li Hawke (nominated by James Holbridge): Peach, who writes for Li, is one of the best I have ever seen at helping others develop ideas. She always has good ideas to write about and has helped me expand my own characters immensely. She deserves this one!
Drama Award - OOC -- for LT Bajun Julisa (nominated by Patrick Leroy): Post: "Be Kind, Please Rewind" (all parts) Being given a second chance isn't everyday staple... The stuff of movies (those who touch our hidden chords).
Comedy Award - OOC -- for CMDR Zeferino (nominated by Patrick Leroy): For the post "Oz Phone Home". Definitely a talent in irony and good humour (albeit Oz is normally quite 'tough' if need be). For having made me laugh like that, I should have proposed the 'Humanitarian Service Medal' but I settled for the Comedy Award
Antagonist Award - OOC -- for ADM Wegener (nominated by Li Hawke): For Scott, who brought Admiral Azoulay to life, made her more than just an NPC name, and gave us all someone we loved to hate. Well done!
Purple Heart - IC -- for James Holbridge -- Attacked in the Admiral's investigation storyline
Purple Heart - IC -- for Ensign Kai Sarkozi -- Attacked in the Admirals investigation storyline
Purple Heart - IC -- for CMDR Oralia Zeferino -- Almost killed in the Suresh storyline
Purple Heart - IC -- for ADM Ricky Wegener -- Shot in the ass (point of contention on this one...he was shot in the hip. It just came out his ass. LOL)
Fifth Mission Completion - OOC -- for James Holbridge Breaking New Ground
Fifth Mission Completion - OOC -- for LT Talan Breaking New Ground
First Mission Completion - OOC -- for Camille Ross Breaking New Ground
First Mission Completion - OOC -- for WO Awf Breaking New Ground
Fifth Mission Completion - OOC -- for MAJ Smith Breaking New Ground
Fifth Mission Completion - OOC -- for CMDR Leroy Breaking New Ground
Fifth Mission Completion - OOC -- for CMDR Sakkath Breaking New Ground
