Personality & Traits
General Overview | Seems to have a 6th sense about what Admiral Wegener will need. She is very easy to get along with. Is able to be on a first name basis with him while still knowing when to refer to him as Admiral as appropriate.
Strengths & Weaknesses | She is a natural leader despite her position as a "secretary" for an Admiral.
Ambitions | She hopes to move into an active command position on a ship and one day have her own command. She doesn't care much how big or powerful the ship is, she simply wants to be able to have something to call her own and to prove to herself that she has what it takes to not only make command decisions but effectively care for those under her command.
Hobbies & Interests | Reading, cooking, war strategy, military history, writing historical novels, running and Aikido. |
Personal History | Born in Vancouver, Washington, Earth in 2360 in a home overlooking the Columbia River. Her father, Evan, was a civilian police officer and her mother, Marina, was the Facilities Superintendent for the city. Her best memories are boating and fishing on the Columbia River and camping on Government Island, which is in Oregon. Family togetherness was a very strong influence within their family and her parents were always supportive of things that their children did. Her brother followed in their father's footsteps and became a police officer. Her sister married and moved to Seattle, Washington and is a history professor at the University of Washington. Hope was the youngest sibling and, despite her admiration of her parents and their work lives, she was much more of a free spirit and wanted to explore. Her parents were sad that she decided to go to Starfleet, only because they knew she would be away from them more often than not, but supported her desire and did everything they could to help prepare her for the academy and the long absences. |
