| General Overview | David Lorenz is the son of pampered aristocrats, but the rest of him is duranium-tough fighting machine without any backup in him. While the son of bureacrats, David formally detests politics and goes out of his way to avoid diplomatic "horseshit" of any kind. Lorenz is a stern, fair commander who promotes on merit alone. He engenders trust in his subordinates as there is no order he gives that he would not be willing to do himself. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Dave is one of the Federation's leading experts on unarmed combat, holding multiple belts in krav-maga, long fist, and kenpo karate fighting styles. Dave has never been known to pick a fight but will definitely finish one if pushed. If compassion is a weakness, and in combat soldiers compassion can get you killed, then Lorenz's compassion is one of his flaws. |

| Ambitions | After voluntarily resigning from the Starfleet Marine Corps, David was made Executive Vice President in Charge of field Operations for Nebula Gold Security Group. His former dedication to men under his command has carried over to this PMC and Davis new goal is to keep NGSG operators alive and functioning at the highest levels of performance. | Personal History | David Lorenz, all around ladies man and holy terror in a fight, is the second son of the Kamati family, ruling clan on Dormeil Prime. Despite being raised in affluent surroundings Dave found himself in trouble constantly until his father apprenticed him to an old grain farmer in the Northern Provinces of Dormelios. The old man,a practitioner of longfist martial arts, trained the boy over the course of five years, transforming David into a calmer, well-disciplined and charming young man. David was married at age eighteen to N'Tara Driscoll, the daughter of a nearby planetary overseer, but Dave was uninterested in statecraft and neglected his duties in the post he was given in his father's administration. Lorenz left home and his wife to enlist in Starfleet, but was quickly transferred to the Syrtis City Marine Academy thanks to his father's well-placed connections in the Federation. Four years later, Lorenz was a second lieutenant in the Marines and was quickly assigned to the USS Oppenheimer under command of then-Captain Ricky Wegener. The tour was a successful one, but a confrontation with the commanding officer of the ship over deployment issues resulted in Lorenz being swiftly reassigned to the Romulan Embassy as Marine detail commander. Lorenz assisted in the evacuation of several Vulcan Reunification supporters before he was detained and expelled from Romulus. The Onset of the Dominion War saw now-Captain David Lorenz in charge of a mechanized assault company of Marines, and his company was part of the fierce fighting at Kalandra, Chin'Toka, and other battles. Lorenz and his staff were captured when a "houdini" anti-personnel mine exploded and alerted neaby Jem'Hadar troops to the location of the command post. Lorenz was taken to a prison camp where he, James Holbridge, and twenty-three other prisoners staged a daring escape, managing to steal a prototype Cardassian warship from the ways. Lorenz, Holbridge and the six survivors were awarded the Distinguished Service Cross along with the men who perished in the escape. Lorenz was gioven command of a small MEU contingent on Deep Space Nine and spent years going into the Gamma Quadrant on clandestine missions to monitor Dominion activity. Lorenz stayed with the MEU on DS9 for nearly 12 years. After that tour, he was assigned to command a battalion of Marines on Starbase 900, resigning shortly after arriving to become EVPO of NGSG. SITE 6 ACTIVITY CLASSIFIED BY ORDER OF ADMIRAL LUCIUS HAWKE After a year out of service, Lorenz was reinstated to his former rank in the Corps and assigned to command the 3rd Marine Regiment. |
