Personality & Traits

General Overview Nick is quite the disturbed being. Despite his remarkably high intelligence and ability to recall information from memory very quickly, he uses almost all information he has for his own interests. Since he resigned from Starfleet he has lost almost all emotion and is, for all intents and purposes, a cold-hearted killer. However, he can learn very quickly on almost any subject, but usually turns it to his cold purposes. One problem that plagues Marcinko is some of his desires.

Don’t fuck with Nick Marcinko. He will kill you, instantly, if given the chance. He’ll never admit it, but he does want friends. It’s hard to find them in his line of work—true friends, that is, but he keeps looking, silently.

Quarters: Deck 15
Office: Deck 34
Ambitions He likes some things that wouldn’t be considered “macho” to his peers, but like to indulge himself sometimes with those things. Almost as if he wants to try and lead a normal life, but his “image” won’t allow it.

He is also constantly on the lookout for that “perfect woman”. He denies it to himself, but he would gladly leave everything he has, including his lifestyle, for the right woman. Of course, most women have a hard time getting close to him because he will instantly shut them out of all intimate details of his life for fear of becoming vulnerable. He wants to open up, but he can’t.
Hobbies & Interests Aside from KATN (Kickin’ Ass and Taking Names), Marcinko religiously pumps iron, runs several miles a day and swims another several miles to keep his body lethally agile. He also keeps in practice with his aikido, Mok’bara and krav maga skills by keeping himself in check with a custom made holodeck program. In his off time, he’ll spend time in various bars trying his hand at all sorts of alcoholic beverages, or alien drinks of the same type. His favorites are Bombay Sapphire Gin, Saurian Brandy, Aldebaran Whiskey, Klingon Bloodwine and Silmic wine. Of course, he also likes Trixian bubble juice, mint julep and chocolate milk, but he tends to hide these from everyone else and drinks them alone, in his quarters. Something else he’ll often hide from his peers is his knack for reading. Despite his rough exterior, Marcinko is an avid reader of almost all things technical. This includes all weaponry (Terran and alien), propulsion systems and new technologies altogether. He also likes to read deeply philosophical books, but he has his share of Playboy (believe it or not, Hef is still around!), Klingon Bitches and Vulcan Love Slaves magazines by his bed.

Personal History PNPC played by Scott B.

Nick N.M.N. Marcinko was born in 2332 and raised on Qo’noS. His father, Starfleet Marine Gunnery Sgt. Jonas Nicholai Marcinko met his mother, Morchenka, while in an officer exchange program with the Klingons. Morchenka was the daughter of Mo’kha, a Klingon Commander in the Imperial Fleet at the time. Morchenka grew up to be a great servant to the High Council, making her father very proud. This is where she met Jonas. Part of his duties was to patrol the Council chambers, keeping out would-be onlookers of private sessions. Jonas and Morchenka fell in love and soon after, Jonas requested permission from Mo’kha to marry his daughter. Mo’kha, knowing of Jonas’ excellent service to the Empire while stationed there, gave permission. However, there were several others that desired to have Morchenka for themselves.

Three days after Mo’kha gave his permission, K’kta’Ch, the first of many jealous Klingons, attacked Jonas at the entrance to the Council chambers. Jonas successfully killed K’kta’Ch, swiftly proving himself even more to Mo’kha, and other jealous Klingons, but there were more to follow. Jonas was challenged to two death matches, in which he won both of, but was badly wounded in the second. Less than a day later, and not completely healed from his wounds, Jonas was attacked again. This time, he died at the hands of Mt’kloS, brother to K’kta’Ch. Morchenka, deeply saddened and angered by Jonas’ death, tracked down Mt’kloS, incapacitated him and slowly tortured him to death. From that point on, Morchenka was never the same…especially when she found that she was with child.

Morchenka raised her “little warrior” in the traditional Klingon manner. Despite his almost non-existent head ridges, Nick, named after his father, was able to hold his own growing up. He excelled at his studies and began to win more and more “ass-whoopin’s” after school. Soon, Nick was old enough to begin the Klingon War College. He studied diligently, but soon found that because he lacked the “look” of a true Klingon, he would never gain a commission with the Imperial Fleet. To honor his mother, and his grandfather, who had repeatedly argued with the High Council over his grandson not being given the same opportunities, Nick completed his studies at the War College, but in 2357 he joined Starfleet and went through their Academy.

Upon Graduation Nick applied for, and successfully joined, the SEAL Teams. He was posted on the USS Telleman, a Nebula-class ship that was used primarily for special ops and Marine duties. He served with SEAL Team Six until 2363 when he resigned his commission and “disappeared”. Nick hadn’t disappeared at all, however. He realized that even the SEAL Teams were a little too tame for his blood—the Klingon blood racing through his veins, and left to become an assassin, hitman-for-hire, mercenary or whatever else would fill his thirst for danger, action and adventure, as well as that insatiable Klingon desire for combat.

Nick sought out the most dark training he could find, other than the Klingon War College that he had already been through, which lead him to the Orions. The Orion Pirates had an unofficial mercenary school that anyone could attend, as long as they didn’t die during the instruction, which happened quite a lot. Graduation from the Orion Mercenary School led to, what Nick saw as, a great life. He got to see the darkest side of each race, meet races he had never before seen, or heard of, and kill in ways he never dreamed of being able to kill.

After years of learning about weaponry, special tactics and wonderful ways to kill, Nick NMN (No Middle Name) Marcinko, was approached by Starfleet Intelligence. He would only join Starfleet again if he could resign his commission and return as an enlisted man. Intelligence granted his request and ranked him as Senior Chief Petty Officer.

Marcinko’s skills are wide in variety, but most are unknown, as he likes to keep his personal information to himself. What little information is known about him is contained in his very brief Starfleet Records packet. Other than that, it is well known that he is quite the proficient and effective warrior—silent, lethal and versatile. He is a master in all weapons--standard, black market and prototypes. He hast studied, dissected and learned about them all.
