February 2013 Awards!

I know it's a bit late but we finally got the awards sorted for February. And here they are!

Hazari's End
I know that we're all glad that the Hazari is no longer alive, especially because of the brutal acts he performed on Cadet Conradi. Luckily, Chance was able to be saved but the Hazari couldn't keep from coming after Eli because of Chance's influence. In the end, the Hazari was put down permanently by the heroics of our Chief Security Officer. But I think everyone will agree that this post was very intense and worthy of the POTM award for February.

Drama Award
The Drama Award this month goes to MCPO Marcinko (Scott) and Lt. (j.g.) Leto (Peach). From their involvement in taking down the inner sanctum of the Archadian coup, these two are definitely worth their weight in latinum, but the toll it has taken on their personal lives is one for the books. They've gone from a devoted, loving couple to a relationship with the potential to be dashed on the rocks forever. As of this time there appears to be no helping their relationship but it's obvious that they are both still in love with each other. Only time will tell how these two will work it out, if they ever will.
Plot Development Award
This month's Plot Development Award goes out to Dario. He introduced us to the alternate universe twist and his character, Lt. Cmdr. Leroy played a pivotal role in the retrieval of our people in the AU. While many others were important in this particular plot I believe that Dario's writing of Leroy gave as much as anyone else.

Newcomer Award
February's Newcomer Award is given to our newest member, Natalie who writes for Camille Ross in the Nexus Club. She definitely hit the ground running with her character and is already making strides to get Camille injected into the overall plot of the base. It makes me very happy to see new members that want to jump in and get involved so quickly!

Act of Kindness Award
This one kind of goes along with the Newcomer Award but is given to Andy who writes Major Patrick Smith. He has helped Natalie get settled on 900, which is no surprise since he and Natalie are very well acquainted with each other in real life. But helping our new members get into the swing of things is no small feat since there is so much history to 900 now that it could take days to explain it all. So, my kudos to Andy for helping Natalie get in the groove!
In-Character awards
The Starfleet Meritorious Unit Commendation is awarded to the crew of the USS Hammond, and those from 900 that accompanied them, for actions above and beyond the call of duty, and risking their lives to rescue station-mates that had crossed to an alternate universe.

The Humanitarian Service Medal is awarded to Commander Sakkath for his involvement in lifesaving efforts of Cadet Chance Conradi. Without the Commander's inherent special skills the life of Cadet Conradi would have been lost. Despite the critical missions going on around the Commander at the time, he trusted his staff and crew to tend to those items while he took time out of his busy schedule to help resurrect the Cadet.
