==Personal History==
Former Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant, yet after a major conflict he chose to cross branch. He has often severed in multiple branch units. Seeing that staying Marines would only lead him to more combat, he chose to transfer to Starfleet and take assignments where he can mentor and train the next generations of officer.

Went to Warrant Officer school and then change his mind that remaining the enlisted ranks is where he could say with the crew most. Warrant officer roles no longer appealed to him, seeing that most work solo and are extremely specialist in their fields. He wants to remain the "jack of all trades"

Anything else he holds very close to the vest. Hardly anyone knows about his personal history.


==Service Record==
He entered the military are Jupiter Station enlisting for the military trained as a scout in 2362. His advanced individual training was at Vulcan were he also picked up alien shuttle craft pilot training. His first duty station was SS Emmette where he also got On The Job training in Astrometrics. In 2367, SGT O’Carney was transferred to Mariposa to serve as chief of the guard reserves for the colony. His next assignment was on the SS Seattle under CPT Wendy Nuess where he served as Master-at-Arms (even though not StarFleet) in 2370-2375. His next assignment was on the ECS North Star as chief engineer from 2378-2380. His last assignment was on Yosemite 3 where he was chief of the station.

Service Schools: Basic 2362, Advance Training 2363, Alien Shuttle Craft Pilot training 2364, Astrometrics basic 2365-66, Distance Learning: 2368-2370 are Tactics basic, advance, and master, plus operations basic and advance. Holo-training in programming, damage control, combat medic. Star Fleet Academy Warrant Officer training, Fleet Leadership Development Program, Advanced Leadership Development Program, Military Leadership: Primary Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Senior Leadership Course, First Sergeant Academy, and Sergeant Majors Academy.
