We are the sentinels tasked with protection of the Solarian Wormhole, the remains of an Iconian Portal between the [[Delta Quadrant|Delta]] and [[Beta Quadrant]]s that exploded and formed the wormhole in its place along the same route. The wormhole provides [[Starfleet]] and the Federation with access to the Delta Quadrant from the safety of the Beta Quadrant. While protecting the wormhole we are also tasked with running the operations of the task force and providing logistical assistance to all ships operating in this area. 


[[Starbase 900]] is an Immense Class starbase boasting 4,854 decks, housing almost 32,000 personnel and enough weaponry to hold off an armada.  Because of their status as the only Starfleet base in the quadrant, [[Starbase 900]] is required to be able to handle anything that can be thrown at it.  But dangers from outside of the base are not all that her personnel have to worry about.  There are plenty of dangers inside her sturdy bulkheads that could take them down if the crew aren't prepared to handle them.  


Make no mistake, being on a frontier such as the Delta Quadrant is no easy task.  Imagine [[Earth]]'s wild west but with much better weapons and even more devious bad guys.  Things could get very hairy, very fast and everyone from the [[Commanding Officer]] to the newest [[Cadet]] at 900's satellite [[Starfleet Academy|Academy]] have to be prepared for the unexpected around every turn.
