More Interesting Words

Considering that Commander Zeferino was sharing some unusual words before, I thought that it might be a good idea to see if I could think of a few others that might be interesting to sneak into a post sometime. I gave it some thought, and figured that I come across plenty of interesting ones at work. Let's see if anyone cares for any of these:

Lachrymatory: A vase or bottle with a narrow neck

Xerotic: Dry

Umbel: A mass of flowers that springs up around a single center, with umbelliferous being the adjective form

Scintillometer: An instrument for measuring the scintillation of a star, which I figure would work great in a science fiction post like we write here

Galeiform: In the shape of a helmet

Kritarchy: A government ruled completely by judges
