O Brother Who Are Thou? written by CMDR Hawke (also for Nahi Hawke), VADM Wegener, CMDR Sakkath and LCDR Zeferino (for Lt. Darwin). This particular post reveals the existence of someone from our Li’s past who is currently alive in the alternate universe--her brother, Nahi. However, not only is he alive in the AU, he is also a collaborator with the Archadians in the attack on AU SB900. His existence is also quite a surprise to Wegener who is very close to the Hawke family, so much so that the Admiral literally stands in shock in the middle of a firefight as the realization hits him, along with a phaser beam from Nahi’s weapon. Our intrepid Lt. Darwin also has his hands full having to deal with Wegener’s cavalier attitude toward the search and in the battle. Not only is Darwin a senior security officer with quite a bit of experience, he winds up a frustrated flag officer babysitter, trying not to get himself killed while trying to keep Wegener from doing the same. Once Nahi is captured and taken to see Li and Sakkath, his being alive and the fact that he is a traitor responsible for numerous deaths on 900, including AU Li Hawke’s--his own sister!, hits everyone like a ton of bricks along with his seemingly uncaring attitude. This entire post is one big reveal after reveal after reveal and was well written by all involved. |

For Anger Management Required, the Drama Award is given to the writers of: Vice Admiral Ricky Wegener, Suresh, Commander Li Hawke The interaction between Wegener and Suresh in this post was well worth receiving the Drama Award. They are, essentially, mortal enemies. They both hold the same person near and dear to their hearts, but in different ways, and would do absolutely anything for her. They then find themselves in a very strange situation where they need to work together but are having a momentous time getting past how much they hate each other. |

For "A Surprising Cease Fire" As many of you may know, Admiral Hawke's ex-wife, Marianna, has never thought fondly of Wegener, or vice-versa. They both have a bit of mutual respect for each other over their care for Li, but that's where the line had always been drawn. Now that Marianna has finally moved on and met someone else, and after so many years of she and Rick always spitting acid at each other, they finally managed a cease-fire with congratulations all around for both Rick and Marianna's betrothals. I think Lucius almost fell out of his seat when this happened, but it's been a long time coming. |

For "Hope Down Under" Only recently have we begun seeing more of Lt. Hope Beckman in the storyline as more of a developing character and less of just a filler or background character. This post in particular set the stage for that as she was tasked with 'babysitting' Admiral Wegener under orders of his fiancee. Maybe it's because she's so dedicated to her work or she's just never been the kind to partake, but while out with Admirals Hawke and Wegener, Hope had a bit more to drink than she bargained for and gave us a good chuckle. |
