Lieutenant Commander Kh'ali

For "A Matter Of Honor" post (and the whole thread before that).

Leading to a climactic conclusion to an old family strife, Klingon-style.
A piece of action as wasn't seen in a while.

Post Of The Month: Retribution
Ensign Reva Madhava, Lt. Riley Sukotav, Lt. Raj Amani, Robart, Desta

Sometimes the most compelling stories can be the most haunting. This month’s Post of the Month is just such a post. We’ve followed Reva’s harrowing experiences, and Riley’s as well. Here, finally, they both get some justice - Riley becomes the hero and Reva is rescued, along with Desta, another victim of Fisher’s operation. They all still have a long road to recovery ahead of them but we finally got the chance to see Fisher get what he deserved. Well done!

Post: The Order Of Operations

Choosing Post of the Month is always difficult with this crew, since just about everything you all write is POM worthy. Sometimes a post will grab us with its excitement, sometimes it is the mystery or the intrigue, and sometimes it just grabs your attention and keeps it in the post’s own quiet way. This month’s winner was just such a post. In The Order Of Operations we see a brief window of time with Sakkath and Norval reflecting on the current state of things in the aftermath of some crew attacks that were certainly personal. It was a rare moment of emotion when we see Sakkath say, essentially, ‘we’re mad as hell and we’re not gonna take it anymore’. Congratulations!

Ensign Six of Ten

For the post: "Discoveries - Good & Bad"

Six and Tess' face off has the quality of high drama to me.
Six is being put in that difficult position of taking a tough decision, torn between two worlds apart (in fact completely opposing worlds) and deal with consequences. While Tess is taking on the 'Reason' part Six gets the 'Heart' one. And, even if not everything is as it may seem, in following posts we come to see that Heart is bound to win over everything in the end (as is expected in a good story) even when this is making you isolated, out of supply and taking fire from all sides (to use a bit of military jargon)

The homecoming of the quartet sent to retrieve evil Suresh after his escape from Elba II was a great end to an amazing story. Not only did we actually manage a somewhat-happy ending, albeit marred with some scrapes and incarcerations, we got to see some very happy reunions in the docking bay. Oh, and the one not-so-happy reunion of Lazan with noveau-Suresh and Darwin.

"Of Honor And Tradition" in "Breaking New Ground" was a really great example of a rare post that actually feels like it could of been part of a Next Generation-era episode, and is even broken down the way that such a storyline would have been filmed, hence the nomination here for the out of character post of the month award.

For The Morning Report written by Seyla and Marla. I've always enjoyed a good mystery and while it's a small one, finding out who the mystery man is that sent the chocolates to Seyla. But more than that, I enjoy reading about the inner workings of Seyla's business. She, and her girls, are very unique characters with contacts in both the right and wrong side of the law and, because of this, are in a very curious position. They could be a very good source of information to the right person or they could keep all of the information obtained to themselves. Almost like having another little intelligence unit on 900! :)

For "Burning Down the House" -- For March, we narrowed it down to two posts and then neither of us could decide which as both were excellent, dramatic posts that have had lasting repercussions for all involved. For Nick and Leto, it has led to some difficult times that have them in uncertain and uncharted territory.

Hazari's End

I know that we're all glad that the Hazari is no longer alive, especially because of the brutal acts he performed on Cadet Conradi. Luckily, Chance was able to be saved but the Hazari couldn't keep from coming after Eli because of Chance's influence. In the end, the Hazari was put down permanently by the heroics of our Chief Security Officer. But I think everyone will agree that this post was very intense and worthy of the POTM award for February.

Congratulations to all involved!

Difference Of Opinion - LTCR Patrick Leroy, LTCR Kh'ali

In this post, Patrick and Kh'ali come face to face with the stresses of a relationship in the face of danger in the line of duty. What happens when one is willing to volunteer for a hazardous mission and the other wants to protect them? It results in a a serious difference of opinion and the willingness to compromise to reach an agreement that is acceptable to both, despite personal cost. For Patrick and Kh'ali, he was willing to compromise, and she only wanted to know that he say her point of view. In the end, a surprise life-changing development altered the decision for both of them.

O Brother Who Are Thou? written by CMDR Hawke (also for Nahi Hawke), VADM Wegener, CMDR Sakkath and LCDR Zeferino (for Lt. Darwin). This particular post reveals the existence of someone from our Li’s past who is currently alive in the alternate universe--her brother, Nahi. However, not only is he alive in the AU, he is also a collaborator with the Archadians in the attack on AU SB900. His existence is also quite a surprise to Wegener who is very close to the Hawke family, so much so that the Admiral literally stands in shock in the middle of a firefight as the realization hits him, along with a phaser beam from Nahi’s weapon. Our intrepid Lt. Darwin also has his hands full having to deal with Wegener’s cavalier attitude toward the search and in the battle. Not only is Darwin a senior security officer with quite a bit of experience, he winds up a frustrated flag officer babysitter, trying not to get himself killed while trying to keep Wegener from doing the same. Once Nahi is captured and taken to see Li and Sakkath, his being alive and the fact that he is a traitor responsible for numerous deaths on 900, including AU Li Hawke’s--his own sister!, hits everyone like a ton of bricks along with his seemingly uncaring attitude. This entire post is one big reveal after reveal after reveal and was well written by all involved.

"Fall On Me" (With Seyla and Darwin)

This post turned out to be pivotal in the storyline when a seemingly innocent question from Suresh led to a discovery that would affect the station at the highest levels. A good example of how actions by even those in the lowest level of station society can have far-reaching consequences.
