Things sometimes confuse me, murr. To be honest it takes a great deal of courage to admit that. Few people want to admit when they aren't ready to take something on or when the behavior of others might stand in their way merely because they aren't sure how to react to it. It's something that many might not necessarily want to admit, but I will admit my faults.

Merrrow. While it is deeply fortunate that there are so many races here that behave peacefully, and they certainly live and work harmoniously, I do sometimes feel as though I am a fish out of water. My last command was much smaller; it is not necessarily the diversity but instead the sheer size of this facility.

Humanoid mammals would not understand, but the large amount of noise and color here is disorienting. I promise to myself that I will eventually get used to it, but for the time being it can be rather disquieting. Sometimes I feel almost as though someone is shimmering a shiny coin in front of my eyes.

Naturally I want none of this to be taken the wrong way; I am saying no bad word against anyone here. I merely want to be able to improve myself to where I can put up with all of this hyper-stimulation and possibly even enjoy some of it.

Murrrrr. Outside of my own purrsonal adjustment issues, I was recently going over some of the purrsonnel in my department. It seems that our Chief Support Craft pilot is out for the time being, though I am not purrrivy to the reason being. I should then suppose these reasons are above my station. I have assigned a replacement in the mean time.

Moreover, we have a few more officers in this department than we currently have need so I will see if anyone else aboard requires any assistance. Should they I would be happy to help, even if I had to do so on a purrsonal basis. If nothing else that might very well help me to get further acclimated aboard the ship here.

Regardless of what happens, I do at least promise to work as hard as possible to ensure that I become a valued member of this station facility's crew. That is something that anyone can have my word on, and I would never go back on my word at all.
