"I feel pretty...oh so pretty...I feel pretty, and witty and gaaaaaaay!" sang Claudia as she walked around her spacious quarters and began to place a few keep-sakes here and there. She twirled her cane around her head as she danced around the room, the large window gave a nice view of space, although she would sorely miss the view from her old office on Earth. A small chime sounded and she walked towards her door. On reaching it she pressed the access pad and it opened, to reveal 4 young operations Enlists with two large transport cages.
'BOYS!" she exclaimed at the top of her voice, she moved closer to the cages.
"Are you Ms Drake?" asked the senior most Enlist, looking her up and down, and then glancing to the transport cages where the two leopards purred in unison.
"Well it's been a long time since anyone has called me that, usually it is Commander, or Professor, or Ma'am" she laughed, "Just teasing you, yes, I am Claudia Drake." she reached the cage and pressed a hand on each to activate the bio-lock. The doors hissed open and the two large black cats bounded out, and pounced on Claudia. She fell back to the floor and let them lick her face, she tickled them behind the ears and looked at the stunned Enlists, "You guys can shove off now if you like, I know you have poker to be playing somewhere away from a beady officer's eyes."
She waved her hand to dismiss them, she continued to tickle the cats as she stood up and led them into her new quarters.
"Welcome to our new home boys." she said, "Go explore, go sniff things, if you piss on anything I will have your balls cut off...and I mean it this time." she watched as they gingerly began to explore the suite of rooms, before long they were eagerly bounding around and playing with each other. After 30 minutes of unpacking and generally playing with the boys she decided she had better get her bearings on the station, and made a move towards the door.
The cats instantly made a move and were patiently waiting by the door. She looked down at them for a moment, "No boys, you're staying here...for now."
They both hung their heads, their body language dejected. Kath rubbed behind their ears and left her quarters. Some 20 minutes later she was walking across the promenade, she lent on her cane as she did so. It gently tapped a pace across the promenade. She came across something that caught her eye, and she smiled. A Bar.
"Time for my daily obedience" she said with a small laugh, and walked into the bar.
