It had been a most interesting day for Niro. Lunch with Reva, or the lack of, had gone pretty much as he’d expected. He’d seen Seyla and warned her so she wouldn’t worry. Then he’d had other business, and finally, his rounds had taken him back to the vicinity of Reva’s place. He’d watched as Darwin and a tall Orion woman came and went and picked up enough to figure out that Riley was missing. As Niro returned to his ship, the idea of Reva’s toy vanishing made him positively gleeful. It couldn’t have gone better if he’d planned it that way.

Once he was back on the ship, he made his way to his quarters and slipped in silently. The bedroom was still quiet and cool and Owain was still stretched out on the bed. Quickly, Niro stripped down, gently removed the restraints and slipped into bed beside Owain. The man should be coming out of this stupor any moment now, so Niro propped up on one elbow and watched. He had to admit, Owain was a strikingly handsome fellow. Niro could do worse and given Owain’s newfound loyalty, perhaps it was time for Niro to settle in and enjoy himself for a while. It was a big bonus that the man was a telepath, something Niro absolutely required in any sort of real attachment. A lot depended on the next few minutes. He reached over with his free hand, trailing his fingers over Owain’s bare chest.

“Wakey, wakey,” he whispered at Owain’s ear.

"Hmm?" Owain startled and tried to sit up, but couldn't. He groaned, "Ugh..., what?" He shifted on the mattress and looked at Niro. "Hey there. I must have fallen asleep." He smiled and touched Niro's chest.

Niro smiled back, his expression surprisingly tender. “It’s alright, I didn’t mind.” His fingertips moved up to trace the shape of Owain’s lips. The memory he’d planted in Owain’s head began to replay and his smile widened. “Did you enjoy yourself?”

Owain grinned, "Absolutely." Evidence of how much he enjoyed himself was growing. He kissed Niro and said, "How about having another go at it?"

“It’s late, will Seyla be looking for you?” Despite his words, he wrapped his arms around Owain, drawing him closer. “If not, please stay. I don’t want you to go home….not for a long time.”

"She might. We all check in with her at least once a day, in case she has a special assignment for us. Plus, it keeps us safe." He shrugged and the hand he'd had on Niro's chest moved lower. "Not that I need to run off just yet, of course. I do have appointments, though."

Niro drew in a sharp breath at Owain’s touch. “Call Seyla from here. Cancel them. I’ll make it up to her.” He had been right, as he expected. Owain was worth keeping. Their thoughts blended together and the fire that spread through him threatened to engulf him. “Now.”

"Anything for you," Owain whispered. He was overwhelmed by Niro's thoughts but managed to push him back into the pillows. He kissed Niro's skin as he moved down, his mouth following the path his hand had taken.

*Later*

Niro stirred, then sighed with contentment. Owain was stretched out at his side, one leg draped over him. The man was a pleasant surprise and Niro had no intentions of letting him go yet. Owain had sent a message to Seyla, who hadn’t answered and then they had resumed more pleasant pursuits. He ran his hand over Owain’s back and buried it in the man’s hair.

“I’m glad Seyla asked me to take care of you,” he whispered.

Owain chuckled and agreed, "As am I. This has been an easy repayment of my debt to you." He lightly bit Niro's bicep before asking, "How goes the Reva project?"

“It goes, though something interesting happened tonight. Her boyfriend has vanished off the station.” Niro’s expression was thoughtful, then he smiled. “Ten credits says she blames me.”

"Riley? Huh. You weren't involved?" Owain found that interesting - along the lines of 'hard to believe'. "He was sort of in your way, wasn't he?"

“Not as much as you might think,” Niro answered. “I stopped by there early this morning, purposely to see him face to face. He wasn’t happy when I left. But to answer your question, no, this one wasn’t me, and I can honestly swear that I didn’t if I’m asked.”

Owain was actually slightly disappointed by that. "Oh, well, I suppose that's good, then."

He kissed Owain once again. “How about we get dinner down on Archadia? Later?”

"Oh, I'd like that! I haven't been to Archadia enough," Owain smiled. "Between now and then what do you have in mind?"

“I suspect we can think of something,” Niro answered. “My business for the day is done.” He delved into Owain’s thoughts once more, enjoying the desire that coursed through him. “You’re mine now, remember.”

"Not sure I could forget now," he laughed and they followed their desires again.
