		Character Development Ribbon - OOC Awarded to the writer who has taken the time to develop their character into a richer and more realistic person during the course of a mission. The writer also continuously develops their character through interpersonal relationships with other characters whether they be NPC or played-characters.		Details
		Commendation Medal - OOC Awarded for commendable actions as a member of the Starbase 900 simm.		Details
		Medal of the Rose - OOC Awarded to the member(s) that write the most interesting couples posts over a period of time.		Details
		Comedy Award - OOC Awarded to the member(s) that write a hilarious post, or posts, that keep the readers in stitches. Maybe awarded more than once to each member.		Details
		Drama Award - OOC Awarded to the member(s) that create a very dramatic post, or series of posts.		Details
		Cliffhanger Award - OOC This OOC award is given to the writer who has worked a story to a certain point and then leaves a cliffhanger at the end of a post leaving the reader desperately wanting to know how it will turn out. This award may be given multiple times.		Details
		Technical Expertise - OOC Awarded to the character who was been written to follow the technical standards of the Star Trek canon universe. Can be awarded multiple times for different posts.		Details
		Plot Development - OOC This OOC ribbon is for the writer who develops, or helps develop, the current plot line or major contributing factors for it. This award will only be given once throughout the development of the plot.		Details
		Courage Under Fire - OOC This OOC award is given to the writer who creates exceptionally well written battle posts that not only feel realistic, but they move the story forward, excite the writer and are enjoyable.		Details
		Antagonist Award - OOC This OOC award is given to the writer who creates an exceptional villain who has been a great contributor through a series of posts.		Details
		Newcomer Award - OOC This OOC award is given to the any member of SB900 who jumps in with both feet in getting their character established, getting into joint posts with other writers and hits the ground running from the word 'go'. This award is only given once to any member. Members of the simm for four (4) months or more are ineligible.		Details
		Service Accommodation Ribbon - OOC This OOC award is for the member who writes their character not only doing their job but going above and beyond what is in their character's job description.		Details
		Character of the Year - OOC This OOC award is given to the writer of the character chosen by all members as the one that was most significant through the calendar year. This member, and character, are not required to have been members of the simm for the entire year.		Details
		Act of Kindness Award - OOC The achiever of this honor has helped with making new members feel welcome on their arrival. This can include contacting the new member and welcoming them personally, offering to get them up to speed on the current events of the simm, offering joint posts to get them started, etc.		Details
		Whose Line Is It Anyway? - OOC Awarded to the character delivering some of the best one-liners, or most memorable lines.		Details
		Departmental Service Ribbon - Command Awarded for exceptional writing of a character in the command department, including: Command, Strategic Operations, Flight Operations, Temporal Affairs, JAG and Communications.		Details

		Starfleet Medal Of Honor - IC The Starfleet Medal of Honor is awarded in the name of the Federation Council to personnel who distinguish themselves by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his or her life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation. 		Starfleet Cross - IC Awarded to those individuals who have distinguished themselves by extraordinary heroism, yet not justifying the award of the Medal of Honor. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from their comrades.		Details
		Distinguished Service Cross - IC The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to Federation members who, while serving in any capacity with Starfleet, distinguish themselves by exceptionally meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility.		Details
		Silver Star - IC The Silver Star is awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity with Starfleet, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy of the Federation while engaged in operations involving conflict with an opposing force, or while serving with friendly forces engaged in armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. The required gallantry, while of a lesser degree than that required for award of the Distinguished Service Cross, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.		Details
		Legion Of Merit - IC The Legion of Merit is awarded to all members of Starfleet for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. The performance must have been such as to merit recognition of key individuals for service rendered in a clearly exceptional manner. Performance of duties normal to the grade, branch, specialty or assignment, and experience of an individual is not an adequate basis for this award.		Details
		Distinguished Pilot Cross - IC Awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with Starfleet, distinguishes himself by heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in flight operations. The performance of the act of heroism must be evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty. The extraordinary achievement must have resulted in an accomplishment so exceptional and outstanding as to clearly set the individual apart from his comrades or from other persons in similar circumstances. Awards will be made only to recognize single acts of heroism or extraordinary achievement and will not be made in recognition of sustained operational activities against an armed enemy.		Details
		Bronze Star - IC Awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with Starfleet, distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in operations involving conflict with an opposing force; or while serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. Awards may be made for acts of heroism, performed under circumstances described above, which are of lesser degree than required for the award of the Silver Star. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or meritorious service. The required achievement or service, while of lesser degree than that required for the award of the Legion of Merit, must nevertheless have been meritorious and accomplished with distinction. 		Purple Heart - IC The Purple Heart is a decoration awarded in the name of the Federation President to those who have been severely wounded or killed while serving in Starfleet. A wound for which the award is made must have required treatment by a medical officer.		Details
		Starfleet Defense Meritorious Service Medal - IC The medal is awarded to members of Starfleet who, while serving in a joint activity, distinguish themselves by non-combat outstanding achievement or meritorious service.		Details
		Meritorious Service Medal - IC Awarded to members of Starfleet who distinguished themselves by outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement or service to the Federation. Normally, the acts or services rendered must be comparable to that required for the Legion of Merit but in a duty of lesser though considerable responsibility.		Details
		Starfleet Commendation Medal - IC For valorous actions in direct contact with an enemy force, but of a lesser degree than required for the award of the Bronze Star Medal.		Details
		Starfleet Achievement Medal - IC Awarded for outstanding achievement or meritorious service not of a nature that would otherwise warrant awarding the Commendation Medal. Designated as an award solely for junior personnel, it is generally only awarded to officers in the pay grade of O-4 (Lt. Cmdr./Major) and below and enlisted personnel below the grade of E-7 (Chief Petty Officer).		Details
		Combat Action Ribbon - IC The Combat Action Ribbon is a personal decoration awarded to members of Starfleet in the grade of Captain (or Colonel in the Marine Corps) and below who have actively participated in ground or surface combat operations. The principal criterion is that the recipient must have participated in a bona fide ground or surface combat operation or in an action during which he was under enemy fire and his performance while under fire was satisfactory. 		Presidential Unit Citation - IC The Presidential Unit Citation is awarded in the name of the President of the Federation to units of Starfleet, and cobelligerent nations, for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy. The unit must have accomplished its mission under such extremely difficult and hazardous conditions to set it apart from and above other units participating in the same campaign. The degree of heroism required is the same as that which would be required for award of a Distinguished Service Cross to an individual.		Details
		Starfleet Unit Commendation - IC Awarded by Commander, Starfleet, to any ship, detachment, or other unit of Starfleet which has distinguished itself by outstanding heroism in action against the enemy, but not sufficient to justify award of the Presidential Unit Citation.		Details
		Starfleet Meritorious Unit Commendation - IC Awarded by Commander, Starfleet, to any ship, detachment, or other unit of Starfleet which has distinguished itself by outstanding heroism in action against the enemy, but not sufficient to justify award of the Starfleet Unit Citation. May also be awarded for heroic actions in defense of, or aid to, a friend or foe that may result in closer ties with that faction.		Details
		Prisoner Of War Medal - IC Issued only to those Starfleet personnel who were taken prisoner and held captive while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in operations involving conflict with an opposing force; or while serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. Civilians who have been credited with Starfleet service which included the period of captivity are also eligible for the medal. Hostages of terrorists and persons detained by governments with which the Federation is not engaged actively in conflict are not eligible for the medal.		Details
		Good Conduct Medal - IC Awarded to individuals who have kept a clear record (no convictions by courts-martial, no non-judicial punishments [NJP], no lost time by reason of misconduct, no civil convictions for offenses involving moral turpitude) for 3 consecutive years. If convicted by civilian authorities for an offense involving moral turpitude, a new 3-year period shall begin with date of return to active duty status. For Enlisted Personnel Only		Details
		Starfleet Expeditionary Medal - IC Awarded to the officers and enlisted personnel of Starfleet who shall have actually landed on foreign territory and engaged in operations against armed opposition, or operated under circumstances which, after full consideration, shall be deemed to merit special recognition and for which service no campaign medal has been awarded. 		Federation Defense Service Medal - IC Awarded for honorable active service in Starfleet. Cadets of Starfleet Academy are eligible for the FDSM upon the completion of their studies as an ensign. The FDSM may be issued posthumously and may only be issued one time.		Details
		Humanitarian Service Medal - IC The Humanitarian Service Medal is awarded to members of Starfleet who distinguish themselves by meritorious direct participation in any significant Starfleet act or operation of a humanitarian nature approved by the Federation. It also includes cadets at Starfleet Academy. Service members must have directly participated in the humanitarian act or operation within the designated geographical area of operation and within specified time limits. Specifically excluded from eligibility for this medal are personnel or elements remaining at geographically separated military headquarters.		Details
		Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal - IC Awarded to members of the Federation who performed outstanding volunteer service of a sustained, direct and consequential nature. To be eligible, an individual's service must (1) be to the civilian community, to include the military family community; (2) be significant in nature and produce tangible results; (3) reflect favorably on the Federation and Starfleet; and (4) be of a sustained and direct nature. While there is no specific time threshold to qualify for the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (OVSM), approval authorities shall ensure the service to be honored merits the special recognition afforded by this medal. The OVSM is intended to recognize exceptional community support over time and not a single act or achievement. Further, it is intended to honor direct support of community activities.		Details
		Superior Civilian Service Award - IC Awarded to civilians rendering assistance to any member of Starfleet or the Federation. This is the highest civilian award given by Starfleet for actions by a civilian. The award consists of a certificate and citation signed by the activity head, medal and lapel emblem.		Details
		Distinguished Civilian Service Award - IC Awarded to civilians rendering assistance to any member of Starfleet or the Federation. This is the second highest civilian award given by Starfleet for actions by a civilian. The award consists of a certificate and citation signed by the activity head, medal and lapel emblem.		Details
		Meritorious Civilian Service Award - IC Awarded to civilians rendering assistance to any member of Starfleet or the Federation. This is the third highest civilian award given by Starfleet for actions by a civilian. The award consists of a certificate and citation signed by the activity head, medal and lapel emblem.		Details
		SFMC Distinguished Service Cross - IC Presented to any marine who has shown the qualities, skills, compassion, loyalty and dedication to duty that has become expected of the United Federation Starfleet Marine.		Details
		Semper Fi Ribbon - IC Awarded for general marine excellence. This can also be awarded for showing deep technical knowledge in marine combat. The required excellence, while of a lesser degree than that required for award of the SFMC Distinguished Service ribbon, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.		Details
		SFMC Achievement Ribbon - IC Awarded to both enlisted and commissioned marines who perform above and beyond the call of duty.		Details

		SFMC Air Combat Ribbon - IC Awarded for exemplary service while piloting a fighter craft in direct combat operations in support of Starfleet or SFMC personnel.		Details
		SFMC Excellence - IC Awarded to marines that go above and beyond their Corps training to become cross-trained in Fleet operations, such as: starship command operations, Starfleet Intelligence, combat medic, engineering specialties or operations specialties.		Details
