With the Star Desert its close neighbor on its "southern" border, the Jathlin Arm and the Star Desert see some overlap of political and economic spheres of influence. Fear, for instance, of the brutal Skareen lasts even today among Perenalthorias Union member states... particularly those with long enough memories to remember fighting wars against them.
