Fighter Detachment Commander
The senior flight officer. S/he is in charge of all things related to the ships/stations Fighter Wing such as been responsible for all the personnel assigned to the department on the ship/facility, and assuring that maintenance work is carried on on the craft by Engineering.
The Detachment Commander answers to the Marine Commanding Officer and is considered part of the senior staff.
Fighter Detachment Deputy Commander
Assistant to the senior flight officer. S/he is in assists the Detachment Commander by overseeing all matters, such as personnel, maintenance and acquisition of supplies.
The Asst. Detachment Commander answers directly to the Detachment Commander
Fighter Squadron Commander
The Fighter Squadron Commander is responsible for all the pilot personnel assigned to his/her squadron. S/he is in required to take command of any flight operations and lease such actions with security
Fighter Squadron Deputy Commander
The Assistant, works like any Asst. Department head, removing some of the work load from the Squadron Commander and if the need arises taking on the role of Squadron Commander.
S/he overseas the regular duties of the pilots, from regular drills to equipment training, assignment and supply request to the ship/facilities Materials Officer.
Flight Leader
The Flight Leader is responsible for all the personnel assigned to his/her flight. S/he is in required to take command of any operations.
Deputy Flight Leader
The Assistant, works like any Asst. Department head, removing some of the work load from the Flight Leader and if the need arises taking on the role of Flight Leader.
S/he overseas the regular duties of the pilots, from regular drills to equipment training, assignment and supply request to the ship/facilities Materials Officer.
Fighter Pilot
Specialized pilot, trained in all areas of fighter combat. Also familiar with standard shuttles and runabouts. Answers to Element Leader
Radar Intercept Officer
Affectionately known as the RIO, they are the crew whom occupy the rear seat of the fighter. They watch for enemy fighters, run sensor scans, and are responsible for the payload that the fighter is carrying.
Fighter Maintenance Specialist (Mechanic)
Fighter Maintenance is a specialized Engineer post. This Officer is assigned to the Shuttle Maintenance Deck (sometimes called the Flight Deck, but generally only if Fighter Pilot personnel are assigned), and is responsible for the service and repair of all small vessel assigned to the Starship or facility. The flight deck must maintain a set number for craft at all times for evacuation purposes in case of emergency.
A team is assigned to the Engineer in charge of Fiighter Maintenance, which is made up from NCO personnel, assigned by the Asst. and Chief Engineer. The Engineer in charge of Shuttlecraft/Fighter Maintenance reports to the Asst and Chief Engineer.
Should the vessel of facility have a dedicated Fighter Pilot Department assigned, then maintenance of these craft falls under the service of the Shuttlecraft Maintenance teams, Engineer in charge of Shuttlecraft Maintenance will report required information to the Wing/Detachment Commander.
