Nominated by Admiral Ricky Wegener
This month's Innovative Service Award goes to the writer for Ignatius J. Reilly-Zeferino, the Goliath Tarantula who has grown, in more ways than one, since she came into being. I have to start by saying that Tracy began writing Iggy back on the USS Berkeley simm that I ran before we all jumped ship, as it were, and moved over to SB900. To put that into a timeline perspective, SB900 has been running for 1 year, 6 months, a few weeks, etc--that's a long time!! When she started, Iggy was just another pet spider but when she came into contact with that crazy crystal, things changed drastically for her. Not only has Iggster grown in size, which may just be something that her breed of spider does, but she has also grown in leaps and bounds in her knowledge of the "bipedal" world that she has to survive in. She's gotten drunk with Wegener, learned to curse from Weg--er, forget those two examples. He's been a bad influence! Anyway, she's learned quite a bit, experienced even more and has gained maturity to the point that she's up for being considered a sentient being within the Federation. With the most recent posts she's found herself trying to console her former owner-turned-family member, Oz, due to the death of Chance and has wound up in a bit of a sticky situation. Peach and I both believe, without a doubt, that Tracy has hit the nail on the head with the Innovative Service award in her writing and development of Iggy.

Character of the Year - OOC Character of the Year - OOC
Awarded Tue Jan 8th, 2013 @ 6:00pm
This particular character has grown quite a bit since she started on 900, and before that on the USS Berkeley simm. What started out as a very casual relationship with another woman, blossomed into a friendship and then they wound up being a family.

Ignatius J. Reilly Zeferino began her life in our little world as a mere pet to LCDR Zeferino, our Chief of Security, but after a chance run-in with a crystal, her entire world changed. Iggy went from your regular, everyday Goliath Tarantula to a sentient being that began talking, asking questions, learning and going leaps and bounds beyond the normal constraints that a tarantula might have. She developed her own personality, provided insights on the world of arachnids to the rest of the bipeds around her, got involved in shenanigans with the lowest ranked personnel to the highest ranked on the base and has even opted to enroll in classes at the satellite academy to increase her knowledge. She has shared laughs with us, been there for the bad times with her friends and family, and gives us insights from an angle that many of our characters never even think to look from.

For this, Iggy is given the Character of the Year award. For those that don't know, Iggy is written by the author of Oralia Zeferino, Janice Gree, Chance Conradi, Michael Darwin, Ian Bren and Seyla. She has been writing with me since just after I started the Berkeley and has been with 900 since it started, when all of the Berk's characters moved over here. Some know her as Reva, others know her as Tracy...I think I've called her "hey you" once or twice. But I know that she has created one hell of a character with Iggy and I appreciate her writing with us and bringing such a unique character to this simm.

Nominated by Captain Li Hawke
making, going back to Eli’s initial flight from his home planet and arrival at 900 as a refugee. Just when it seemed that Enara Prime had opened its arms to welcome him back and forgive all, the story has taken a sinister turn, complete with betrayals, changes of heart, and plenty of action. We still don’t know how it will turn out for the group, but it’s been quite a ride so far.

Awarded Mon Sep 7th, 2015 @ 7:42pm
Nominated by Captain Li Hawke
A party? For me? Yes, please! Iggy threw her front legs up, into a position that normally would be threatening, but, in this case, looked like a good approximation of a human throwing his hands in the air. We can have gagh and silk-wrapped flies. Perhaps now Norval will share his worm? Eli almost choked on his laughter. “Uhh...Iggy? I don’t think a party is the place for that.” -From "A Spider's Baby Shower"
