Lieutenant Commander Michael Darwin
Sat May 5th, 2018 @ 9:59am
in the post: "Homecomings - Part II"

“I’ve told you what I know, Suresh. I’ll say it again: Niro had time alone with Six while I was incapacitated and Julisa was in a Cardassian’s bed - unwillingly. Jules was my top concern... well, surviving a disruptor blast was my top concern, Jules came a close second, though! Six and what Niro was doing was a distant third. If he erased her memory, sorry! but she’s alive and she’s here and you can start showing her why she loved you all over again.”

Even when recovering from a grievous wound and pissed off... He doesn't lose his sarcastic touch. Bravo! ;-)
Lieutenant Tess Rutheridge
Sat May 5th, 2018 @ 9:58am
“Don’t worry about that, Riley. You know how things go with Leroy… Divitian mothers in this quadrant spook their children with his name when they become unruly…” Tess joked hoping to raise a bit Riley’s spirits.

Admiral Ricky Wegener
Sat May 5th, 2018 @ 9:57am
In the post: "So Much For A Quiet Morning" where an inattentive Flight Control officer gets scolded by the Admiral...

“Okay, when you get a chance, slap yourself in the face really hard.”

Loved this one.
Lieutenant Commander Michael Darwin
Sat May 5th, 2018 @ 9:57am
Darwin glared at her then put the weapons down and handed a hand weapon to Six and Julisa. “When we get back to SB900, I quit. I’m done with the weird shit.”

- A Ship Darkly, Part II
Marine Captain Quentin Harrison
Sat May 5th, 2018 @ 9:57am
Lorenz extended his middle finger to Harrison and threw him a mock-salute.

“Is that the number of friends ye have or the remaining brain cells ye have left in that noggin of yours?”

“Define ‘normal’. Personally, I think you look like an ass.”

Seyla rulez.
Lieutenant Nick Marcinko
Wed Nov 11th, 2015 @ 2:20am
In the post: A Matter Of Honor - Part II

“Lady, I’m on so many lists it’s amazing that I can get any sleep at night.”

Captain James Warrington
Wed Nov 11th, 2015 @ 2:20am
"Captain Warrington. We don't plan on being here long. Once we clear the debris field we will only need a couple of days to finish the repairs to our drive. As some of these require a spacewalk we obviously don't want to be warping about," James informed him half telling the truth. They didn't need to know they'd done the space walky bit.

Every time Kh’ali was happy he ended up in sickbay, Patrick thought with some worry. He couldn’t imagine about happier. --from Path Of Clarity

““You have just cost me in ways you can’t even fathom,” she growled at him, advancing till she was in his personal space. As he backed up, she followed him. “I should take you to Archadia with me. There, they still allow public lashings.”

“Ah...?” His brows went up even as other parts shriveled with fear. “What... what have I done to be on your bad side?” - Seyla & Marcus, Betrayal
Lieutenant Raj Amani
Fri Oct 9th, 2015 @ 11:58pm
Desta nodded. “I do not mind. I know how much he means to you. It’s wonderful waking up with someone you know cares for you and means you no harm. And I promise I won’t be any trouble.”

Raj rubbed his forehead, slightly embarrassed, as he looked back at Reva.

Grinning, Reva winked at Raj. "It is. If - when you have someone stay over, Desta, it won't be a problem. Raj, I guess we'll see more of you?"

Raj’s eyes widened at the question and Riley choked back a laugh.

“I’ll make waffles," Riley offered. - Desta, Lt. Raj Amani, Ensign Reva Madhava, Lt. Riley SukotavWaffle Plans

Niro
Fri Oct 9th, 2015 @ 11:58pm
“Fuck this.” Niro moved to the bed, lifted Mamu as if she weighed nothing and slung her over his shoulder. “I’ve had enough.” He carried her out of his bedroom, then out into the corridor and started for the hatch that opened off the rear of this deck. “You’ll see Fal when I decide you’ll see her,” he growled. The little woman screamed the whole way and used her staff to flail at him. "You vile...!", she berated him in various languages. "File a report with Security, I will!" She kept up her tirade, even as he dumped her into the hatch and opened it, dropping her to the Station's decking. “Really? I’ll tell them you were harassing me on my own ship and I tossed you. Run away, troll. I have your girl waiting and there’s not one damn thing you can do about it.” He slammed the hatch shut behind her. - Niro & Mamu B’yaga, Tempest
Commander Sakkath
Fri Oct 9th, 2015 @ 11:57pm
The writing in this log is simply stunning, particularly this paragraph (to quote Tracy):

All seemed fairly mundane (a rare, but welcome occurrence) until Sakkath made his way to the decision not to prosecute Lieutenant Sukotav and his subsequent release from the brig. The Vulcan’s first thought was of Suresh, and what the operation below might now require of him. Retaliation was certainly going to be expected, the Vulcan knew, but his responsibility for the crew drove his next thoughts to Riley himself. Following his abduction, the issues with Ensign Madhava, and now his faultless attempt on Ensign Six’s life, Sakkath had to wonder just what sort of island the Betazoid Lieutenant felt marooned on. - Commander Sakkath, A Little Blue Blast
Lieutenant Nick Marcinko
Fri Oct 9th, 2015 @ 11:57pm
"Regardless, we need to get his ass up off the deck before Kh’ali gets back and sees him like this. He is most likely to be targeted while here, well...after the baby. Can’t have him walking around the Klingon homeworld drunk as ten motherfuckers.” - Lt. Nick Marcinko, What A Party!

Niro

Really: Niro and Mamu B'yaga, for the "Tempest" post:

“Fuck this.” Niro moved to the bed, lifted Mamu as if she weighed nothing and slung her over his shoulder. “I’ve had enough.” He carried her out of his bedroom, then out into the corridor and started for the hatch that opened off the rear of this deck. “You’ll see Fal when I decide you’ll see her,” he growled.

Commander Patrick Leroy

August Award:

This is really for Tess Rutheridge, for giving a glimpse of what Commander Leroy's subjects are thinking of him... ;-)

“For I know many things of Commander Leroy and, albeit he’s somewhat changed from his trip to Ialnalyn region, there is one thing about him I’m still fairly sure of. You don’t mess with the uniform. It’s Starfleet. It’s woven in ideals… Damn... I think the man was born with that uniform, grafted to his skin the very first day of his life.”
Lieutenant Commander Michael Darwin
Sun Sep 13th, 2015 @ 11:11am
August Award:
In the post "Game, Set & Match", but not for the entire post... Just a couple of lines he said:

"But, anyway, the whole thing with Suresh dating Ensign Six of Ten? That has the potential to be a problem for us. She's told a few people that Suresh is the new one and is a super sweet, awesome, kitten-loving, non-violent, puppy-hugging all-around-good guy."

To me is the kind of ironic and/or cynical view of some facts of life (like love) that I find amusing in movies and books.

I made the mistake of reading this one in the office causing a burst of laugh which brought enquiries from curious colleagues. Enquiries which, of course, I could not satisfy leaving them puzzled to this day.

Valhalla Control just told me that their ship never made it, and nobody is the least bit concerned that a platoon of Marines went missing? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF GOAT-ROPE OPERATION IS THIS?!" - from "Another Fine Mess" (By Tracy)
Ignatius Reilly

A party? For me? Yes, please! Iggy threw her front legs up, into a position that normally would be threatening, but, in this case, looked like a good approximation of a human throwing his hands in the air. We can have gagh and silk-wrapped flies. Perhaps now Norval will share his worm? Eli almost choked on his laughter. “Uhh...Iggy? I don’t think a party is the place for that.” -From "A Spider's Baby Shower"
Lieutenant Norval Tigan
Mon Sep 7th, 2015 @ 7:42pm
Well, it didn’t happen often, but Norval Tigan was speechless. Sakkath stood unperturbed by the silence, allowing it to linger far too long for Norval’s taste. … And it went on. … And on. “Yes, of course!” he blurted into the stillness. - from "The Order of Operations"
Lieutenant Eric Edwards
Mon Sep 7th, 2015 @ 7:42pm
Eric shook his head and stifled a groan. "I stopped listening after 'time's fun when you're having flies,'" he admitted, cracking a grin. He motioned to the seat beside him. "Sit down, you can take us in. I'll play co-pilot for a while." -From "A Spider's Baby Shower"
