Welcome to the Starbase 900!

Welcome to Starbase 900! We are the sentinels tasked with protection of the Solarian Wormhole, the remains of an Iconian Portal between the Delta and Beta Quadrants that exploded and formed the wormhole in its place along the same route. The wormhole provides Starfleet and the Federation with access to the Delta Quadrant from the safety of the Beta Quadrant. While protecting the wormhole we are also tasked with running the operations of the task force and providing logistical assistance to all ships operating in this area.

Starbase 900 is a highly productive and acutely active base, being the only true home that Starfleet has in the Delta Quadrant. Numerous races--some new, some old--come to 900 for trade and relaxation. Tension can run high, but Starfleet always manages to get the job done, no matter the cost.

We'd like to wish a happy birthday to Natalie (Camille and Aria on the Ptolemy) ! We hope it's a great one :)

Also, my apologies for my quiet. It's the last real week of the semester, then finals week so I'mbutied in writing three papers. After that, I can get back to writing something I WANT to write *g*.

Mission: Further Challenges
Posted on Mon Mar 13th, 2017 @ 11:28am by Major David Lorenz

After a long day of getting the Marines combat ready for whatever was out there in the big black void, Major David Lorenz loved to go to his quarters, shut off his communicator (much to the annoyed consternation of his pro tempore XO MCPT Wilber Donovan) and relax with a…

LORENZ'S PRIVATE QUARTERS

David sat in his living room in silence. He was alone for the first time in a long time. Jim and most of his friends, including his burly XO, were gone. The only one left from Team One was Matt, and he had a big surprise waiting…

Mission: Further Challenges
Posted on Sun Oct 23rd, 2016 @ 8:39pm by Ensign Leela Carter & Ensign Reva Madhava & Ensign Six of Ten & Niro

Niro led the way from his quarters and down two doors to Suresh’s quarters. There he rang the chime and waited. ”Riley and Reva are there.” He pointed to the next door over.

Leela gave Niro a concerned look. “They stayed with Europa.” Any other conversation was cut short as…

Mission: Further Challenges

*Suresh’s Quarters *

Following the dinner with Europa, Six and Suresh left and outside, parted ways with Niro and Leela. Six was quiet as they walked to his quarters, too many thoughts in her head that needed examining. Once he opened the doors, she stepped in and stopped.

He nearly…

Mission: Further Challenges
Posted on Sun Oct 23rd, 2016 @ 8:35pm by Ensign Leela Carter & Ensign Reva Madhava & Ensign Six of Ten & Niro

* Dinner *

Looking utterly miserable, Reva fidgeted with the strap of her dress. The dress was nearly all straps, so she had a wide array to choose from. “Once we get back to 900, I’m not going anywhere ever again,” she complained to Leela.

“I hear that,” Leela muttered.…

Well originally I had assumed that my posting on the bridge here was going to go quite purrfectly, but I have to admit that I was indeed quite wrong. Furrrrst off, there have been some personality conflicts with some of the others.

I do not for one moment doubt Leto's…

» Taking a Spacewalk

Posted on Mon Jul 6th, 2015 @ 4:10pm by Lieutenant JG Mallow Darby

You know, everyone these days always seems to suggest that extravehicular activities or EVAs - better known as a spacewalk - is an unnecessarily dangerous activity and it's something that mission parameters should always avoid. I'm not saying that they're not dangerous at all, so whoever should later browse through…

SURGERY PLUS FOUR HOURS

It had been a rough four hours, and Dave was feeling it, having sat for so long. Dave stretched, then carefully moved Tricia Holbridge's head from his shoulder. Her makeup was streaked form crying, but she refused to leave until she saw her husband again, consciously.…

Holbridge entered his home, unaware that Tricia was speaking to Admiral Wegener on his behalf. Jim flopped onto a couch and sighed. "That's it! I am never going anywhere with those fools again!" he voiced his frustration, then stopped as he realized how accurate his words were. We are done,…

Things sometimes confuse me, murr. To be honest it takes a great deal of courage to admit that. Few people want to admit when they aren't ready to take something on or when the behavior of others might stand in their way merely because they aren't sure how to react…
